Unlock all five dimensionsUpgrade to Pro or Agency to activate Content Quality, Answerability, and Extractability dimensions. These use AI-powered semantic analysis to evaluate how well AI systems can understand and cite your content.
Understanding Your Score
Your overall AIO Score is a weighted average of all active dimensions, ranging from 0 to 100. The more dimensions active on your plan, the more comprehensive your score. Here is what each dimension measures.
-
CrawlabilityCan AI crawlers access your content? This dimension tests your robots.txt configuration, structured data markup, XML sitemaps, meta tags, canonical URLs, HTTPS setup, page response speed, and whether AI-specific bots like GPTBot and ClaudeBot are allowed or blocked.
-
AuthorityDo third-party signals validate your brand? This dimension checks for Wikipedia presence, domain age and registration via WHOIS and the Wayback Machine, inclusion in Common Crawl training data, recent news mentions, review platform listings on Trustpilot and G2, and AI brand recognition. These signals help AI systems determine whether your site is a trustworthy source worth citing.
-
Content Quality Pro+Can AI extract meaningful, citable information from your pages? This dimension uses Claude to analyze your content for clarity, entity definition, citation readiness, competitive positioning against similar sites, and topical depth. It evaluates whether your content provides the kind of clear, authoritative information that AI systems prefer to reference in their responses.
-
Answerability Pro+Can AI generate direct answers from your content? This dimension scores five dimensions: definition clarity (are key terms clearly defined?), structured lists (are items organized for easy extraction?), tables (is data presented in parseable formats?), FAQ and Q&A sections (do you directly answer common questions?), and how-to steps (are instructions laid out sequentially?). Sites with high answerability scores are more likely to appear in AI-generated answers.
-
Extractability Pro+Can AI read your content without executing JavaScript? This dimension tests the ratio of server-rendered versus JavaScript-dependent content across your pages. Sites that deliver content in raw HTML are more accessible to AI crawlers, which often do not execute JavaScript. A high extractability score means your content is available in the initial HTML response, not hidden behind client-side rendering.
Reading Your Audit Report
Each audit produces a detailed report with expandable sections for every dimension. Here is how to navigate and interpret your results.
- Each dimension section expands to reveal detailed sub-scores and specific findings. Click on any dimension card to see the full breakdown of individual tests and signals.
- Green indicators mean a test is passing and that aspect of your site is well-optimized for AI systems. Red indicators highlight issues that need your attention and may be reducing your visibility in AI-generated responses.
- Actionable tips and recommendations appear alongside each failed or low-scoring test. These tell you exactly what to fix, why it matters for AI visibility, and how to implement the change.
- The AI Summary at the top of your report provides a plain-language overview of your site's AI readiness. It highlights your strongest areas and the most impactful improvements you can make, written in clear language you can share with stakeholders or clients.
Common Actions After Your First Audit
Focus on the highest-impact fixes first. Here are the most common improvements, ordered by priority.
- Fix critical technical issues first. If your robots.txt is blocking AI crawlers or you are missing structured data, these issues prevent AI systems from reading your site at all. Check the AI Bot Directives and Structured Data tests in your Crawlability results.
- Add FAQ schema to your key pages. Implement FAQPage structured data on pages that answer common questions. This makes your content directly extractable by AI systems and increases your chances of being cited in AI-generated answers.
- Ensure content is server-side rendered. If your Extractability score is low, your content may be hidden behind JavaScript. AI crawlers typically do not execute JavaScript, so content rendered only on the client side is invisible to them. Consider server-side rendering or static site generation.
- Build authority through external signals. Create or improve your Wikipedia page, ensure your domain is listed on review platforms like Trustpilot, seek press coverage, and maintain an active web presence. These signals help AI systems trust your site as a credible source.
- Re-audit after making changes. Wait 48 to 72 hours after implementing fixes before running a new audit. This allows caches to clear and gives external signals time to update. Monthly re-audits are recommended to track ongoing progress.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How long does an audit take?Free audits that run the Crawlability and Authority dimensions complete in 10 to 30 seconds. Pro and Agency audits that include AI-powered semantic analysis take 30 to 90 seconds, depending on your site's size and server response time. A live timer shows elapsed time so you know the audit is still running.
-
How often should I re-audit?After making fixes to your site, wait 48 to 72 hours before re-auditing to allow caches to clear and changes to propagate. For ongoing monitoring, monthly audits are sufficient to track your progress. You should also re-audit after any major site changes such as a redesign, CMS migration, or robots.txt update. Agency plans include scheduled monitoring that automates this process.
-
Why is my score different from last time?Several factors can cause score changes between audits. Your site may have been updated, which affects Crawlability and Content Quality scores. Third-party signals like news coverage, review platform listings, or Wikipedia edits can change your Authority score. Improvements you have made to structured data, rendering, or content will also be reflected. Each audit is a fresh evaluation of your site's current state.
-
Can I audit competitor sites?Yes, you can audit any publicly accessible website. This is a common practice for benchmarking your AI readiness against competitors in your industry. Compare dimension scores side by side to identify areas where competitors have an advantage and prioritize your optimization efforts accordingly.
-
What does "crawler blocked" mean?A "crawler blocked" result means your site's security infrastructure is preventing our audit crawler from accessing your content. Common causes include Cloudflare bot protection, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), cookie consent walls, or aggressive rate limiting. This does not necessarily mean that all AI bots are blocked. Check the AI Bot Directives test in your Crawlability results for specific information about which bots your robots.txt allows or denies.
-
How do I export my audit as PDF?After your audit completes, click the PDF export button in your audit results to download a formatted report. Pro users can export individual audit reports. Agency plans support bulk PDF export, which lets you download multiple audit reports at once as a ZIP file. Exported PDFs include all dimension scores, detailed test results, and the AI Summary.
